We'll follow turn-by-turn directions from a satellite without question, but we struggle to trust the eternal promises of the God who created the universe. We'll believe a device when it tells us to take an unexpected route, but we hesitate when God's Word calls us to walk a path that contradicts our logic or cultural norms. The maturity of our walk with Christ is directly proportional to how much we trust God's promises and follow the commands that accompany them. Conversely, it's also measured by how seriously we take God's warnings and their consequences.
